At the end of March, Ads & Data and IPM Advertising further developed their collaboration by launching a new national 100% magazine offer called TBOO MAGS. This offer comprises seven titles, including Standaard Weekblad and Billie for Flanders and Moustique, Paris Match and daily press supplements such as Quid (La Libre), DH Mag and Deuzio (L'Avenir) for the South.

The new proposal is in addition to their digital display and video offer. By insertion, TBOO MAGS boasts an audience of over 2.2 million readers throughout Belgium. The TBOO MAGS offer is available in different formulas with discounts ranging from 50 to 67%, and a CPM starting at €5.47!

Ventures Media SA new publisher of KH Magazine

On 15 March 2023, Ventures Media SA became the new publisher of KH Magazine. The publication was previously in the hands of Head Office NV. KH Magazine is entirely dedicated to Knokke; lifestyle, history, architecture, prominent personalities, traditions, love of modern art, nature and much more. The magazine is published three times a year and has a print run of 48,500 copies, of which 40,000 for the Dutch edition and 8,500 for the French edition. A full-page, four-colour spread costs €5,500.

Pop-Media BVBA has a number of new Pop-Impact sites where it is possible to advertise on giant canvases. In the coming year, these can be deployed in Brussels and Antwerp. Retriever implements integration with Belnet

From this month, high schools and other participants in the Belnet R&E Federation with a subscription to Retriever can securely access the Retrievermedia.be application via Belnet. For these relationships, Retriever has set up an integration with the Belnet connectivity service.

Belnet is the preferred connectivity partner for higher education, research centres and government services. Higher education institutions can introduce their students to all BeLux media channels and have them research print, online, OOH and other media that they will use in their future media planning practice.

Poggio is the new name of Cycling magazine , which much earlier appeared under the name Cycling.be and even before that went through life as Cyclo Sprint. Poggio targets the cycling fan and pro cycling culture with exclusive content and inspiring stories about the sport that many adore. The magazine is published 5x a year in a circulation of 15,000 copies. The first edition with the new name Poggio is ed. 25, which will be published on 12 May next.

Expansion of digital street networks JCDecaux

In addition to the existing digital networks, JCDecaux is launching a series of new digital street furniture networks in 2023. From spring 2023, the Antwerp digital network will be available with 70 digital screens. From July 2023, the networks will be completed in Charleroi (25 screens) and Lier (15 screens). Roularta's Dutch-language Sport/Voetbalmagazine - and its French-language counterpart Sport/Footmagazine - will appear on paper for the last time on 15 February 2023. Sports stories that require more background will move to the sports section of Knack and Le Vif respectively. The latter two titles will thus have a more comprehensive sports section.

Edition Ventures, known for leading media brands such as ELLE, Marie Claire, Psychologies, Déco idées and more, has changed its name to Ventures Media. Modified sizes for TV News

TV News, Sudmedia’s weekly TV magazine, which appears every week as a weekend supplement to all Sudpresse dailies and on Fridays as a weekend supplement to Le Soir, has changed its formats. The new advertising format for a full page will now be 293 mm high and 214 mm wide. Advertising rates remain unchanged. The advertising sales is managed by Rossel Advertising.

Media Marketing launches ‘MM Tech’

Technology is penetrating all areas, including media and marketing. From February onwards, Media Marketing of the publisher Marcom World will launch 'MM Tech', a new multi-channel concept that will inform about the development of new technologies that impact on, or can impact, the media and marketing sector. At the same time, MM Tech will try to frame and explain the impact of this (r)evolution on the sector in question.

With this in mind, MM Tech has developed a weekly newsletter, also called MM Tech, which will be launched on February 2nd. Publisher Mediahuis has made an important change to the advertising options of the regional editions of De Standaard: edition ads in De Standaard are no longer possible on Mondays. Furthermore, the formats Art 1000 (this is a 1/1 page) - Art 750 and Acc 3 are also no longer possible on weekdays in the regional editions. Pasar vzw releases three new magazines: Pasar Wandelen, Pasar Fietsen and Pasar Camper & Kamperen. These titles appear 4 times a year (a new issue every season) in a circulation of 25,000 copies. Also new to the portfolio are 3 travel specials: Reisspecial Wandelen, Reisspecial Fietsen en Reisspecial Camper & Kamperen (replaces the Kampeergids). Pasar Camper & Kamperen is the new name of Campertijd. Pasar magazine disappears.

Magazine 'It's not a salon guide' continues as video on autonieuws.be

With the autonieuws.be website, the publisher Yesyes bv devotes special attention to the Motor Show every year. Previously, an annual paper edition entitled 'Het is geen salon gids' (this is not a salon guide, NDLR) was published, containing a report on the Brussels Motor Show. From this year onwards, this 'report' will take on a new form, namely videos distributed by brand on the autonieuws.be website. New CIM - October 2022 figures in Retrievermedia.be

The new CIM figures for October 2022 have been integrated into Retrievermedia.be. In addition to circulation and audience figures, you will also find pie charts with title profiles per title. These give you a clear overview of the audience per title, broken down by age group, region, language, social group and gender, as well as the index in relation to Belgium as a whole.

This year, there is an important difference in the universe compared to previous years: for previous publications, the age groups 13-14 and 15-24 were used. From October 2022 onwards, the variable 13-14 is no longer included and the variable 15-24 is changed to 16-24. As a result, from October 2022 onwards the total readers for the last period also relate to the age variable 16+.

In partnership with POST Luxembourg, Regie.lu (Luxembourg advertisers) and Ads & Data (Belgian advertisers) will offer POST's DirectMail solution until the end of 2023. It allows advertisers to have leaflets distributed door-to-door via the postman among some 100,000 Luxembourg households. These are all households that do not have a "No pub" sticker on their letterbox.

Besides national distribution with a total reach of 99,873 letterboxes, selective distribution in 9 Luxembourg regions is also possible. The distribution days correspond to those offered by POST Luxembourg: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Rates start at €40.51 per 1,000 copies to be distributed. Ads & Data and IPM join forces in 'tboo & more'

Ads & Data and IPM Advertising have joined forces in 'tboo (The Belgian Online Offer) & more', a one-stop shop that advertisers and media agencies can use for their display and video campaigns. At the moment, tboo offers two digital packages and one video package with behavioural targeting. This targeting will initially focus on the following data segments: business & finance, sports fans, lifestyle, sustainability and foodies.

Advertisers can choose from a nationally balanced offer, which, with the help of behavioural data from both agencies, achieves optimal coverage within the target group of the desired data segment. The sites that are part of the project within the platform are lavenir.net, lalibre.be, parismatch.be, dhnet.be, moustique.be, Gourmandiz.dhnet.be, nieuwsblad.be, standaard.be, gva.be and hbvl.be. Together, they reach more than 6 million genuine users every month, including more than 3,500,000 people who watch the videos. At the request of several international customers of retrievermedia.be, the media database for professionals has now been made fully available in English, in addition to French and Dutch. Next September 27, the last edition of the Good News newspaper will be published and Mediahuis will come up with a new concept: Good News. From Oct. 4, Het Belang van Limburg will bring fun stories from the neighborhood every weekday, both online and in the newspaper.

On all days except Tuesday, the entire circulation can advertise in this positive umfeld. On Tuesdays, the Good News page in the newspaper is regionalized with all marriages from the region. Retriever is now publishing the key figures from CIM (Center for Information on the Media) press coverage survey in the retrievermedia.be media database. CIM is the reference for information on the reach, profile and use of media in Belgium. Retriever publishes in the media database retrievermedia.be the CIM reach figures and title profiles. The current profiles and reach figures refer to CIM NRS 2019-2020. The new figures will appear in October 2022 and cover the period November 2021-June 2022. Once received, they will be processed in the media database. Through the collaboration with CIM, retrievermedia.be users get quick insight into the reach and profiles of the most important print brands.

VRT NU changed its name to VRT MAX

On 29 August VRT NU changed its name to VRT MAX. VRT MAX is the digital media platform of the Flemish public channel VRT. It aggregates the offer of the television channels, offers series in box sets and develops a catalogue of programmes from the VRT archives. In addition to top Flemish and international series, VRT MAX also offers an exclusive audio and video package for younger digital target groups.

In addition to the name change, there is also a 10% rate increase as of 1 September: € 34 cpm becomes € 37.4 cpm. Var handles the sale of the ads.

Rearrangement of Nieuwsblad editions as of 1 September

Mediahuis has rearranged the editions of Nieuwsblad as of 1 September. Previously, the newspaper was divided into 13 editions. This has now become 9 editions. In the province of West Flanders, 4 editions have been merged into 2 editions. Also in East Flanders the 5 editions have been combined into 3 editions. From September onwards, Ninove Info, the city of Ninove's news magazine, will continue under the name 'Stadsmagazine'. In 2023, the distribution will be done by bpost and local distributors in almost all of Flanders in the week of March 3. The offers from the Publibox voucher box are automatically placed on the publi-box.be website where everyone can download the discount vouchers from their postal code area.

It is also possible to use Publibox in specific postal code areas, for example to complement a campaign with media channels with less reach in those specific areas, or to advertise in a specific area in a more action-oriented way. Clear Channel will expand its premium large format offering with 55 More O'Ferrall panels of 36m².
