From 1 December, Transfer Media will take charge of the advertising sales of the Eurosport and Discovery channels in French-speaking Belgium. In doing so, the sales house adds two international brands to its portfolio.
Discovery is a non-fiction channel that stimulates and captivates viewers seeking added value with stories about groundbreaking inventions, memorable achievements and inspiring discoveries. Eurosport, on the other hand, hosts the world’s biggest sporting events in tennis, cycling, snooker, etc., as well as the Olympic Games. Both channels will be made available via Orange, Proximus and Telenet.
For both Transfer Media and Warner Bros. Discovery, the expansion with new thematic channels is a logical move. It comes just after the sales house and the entertainment giant entered into another partnership in early September, in a rapidly evolving VOD market, with the exclusive commercialization of HBO Max’ kids content. This strengthens Transfer Media’s position as a cross-media point of contact in the kids’ segment.
