Nieuwsblad revamps weekend offer with WKND

The popular Nieuwsblad supplements NU and Check have been merged into one weekend supplement: WKND. Consequently, Nieuwsblad's weekend offer gains a fresh new look for a more powerful and smoother reading experience, in line with the digital age.

WKND thus unites the best of both worlds: the in-depth reports, interviews and current affairs stories of NU combined with the practical, accessible consumer sections from Check.

The result is a 48-page weekend supplement targeting modern readers and entirely dedicated to the theme of “Living Smarter”. WKND is a logical, thoughtful step in Nieuwsblad's digital transformation, because on top of an improved print experience and more space for interpretive journalism, the revamped approach goes hand in hand with a stronger focus on digital content.

NB WKND appears in a circulation of 179,800 copies (GvA WKND: 67,000).
