Launch of Kukimag: Art Magazine for Young Explorers

6minutes Press, part of the independent publishing house KIM vzw (Kleine Initiatieven in de Media), will launch the art magazine Kukimag on March 15, 2026.

Kukimag – short for KUnst & KInderen MAGazine – brings art, museums and exhibitions closer to children and young people. The magazine targets children aged 8–12, teenagers aged 13–18 and (grand)parents. It tells the stories behind artworks and artists and aligns editorially with child-friendly exhibitions and events in Belgium and abroad. Both contemporary artists and masters from the past are featured, with special attention to educational initiatives by museums.

The print edition is published twice a year (spring/summer and autumn/winter), consists of 32 pages and is distributed via museums, academies, libraries, schools and subscriptions. The print run is 1,250 copies. A full-page full-colour advertisement costs €780. Half-page formats are also available. Advertising recruitment is managed by Peter De Vester of Moïzo.

In addition to print, Kukimag is present online via kukimag.be and a monthly newsletter Kukitips with more than 1,200 opt-in subscribers.
