Knokke-Heist relaunches its own magazine: TAM-TAM to become a regular periodical
The collaboration between Knokke-Heist and Roularta Local Media around the weekly free local newspaper TAM-TAM will come to an end on 31 May. This marks the close of a joint initiative that, since 2019, has distributed local news, community information and advertising throughout the coastal municipality. Both parties will continue their local communication efforts through separate initiatives.
Roularta Local Media will retain the TAM-TAM brand as a periodic publication, with four editions scheduled for 2026 around holiday periods. According to publisher Barbara Spyckerelle, the publication dates have been aligned with peak visitor periods at the coast, allowing local businesses to boost their visibility during key commercial moments. In addition to the print edition, Roularta also points to supplementary advertising opportunities through TAM TAM TV, De Zondag and KW, including digital channels such as websites, social media and newsletters.
At the same time, Knokke-Heist is relaunching its municipal magazine KH Nieuws, which will be published six times a year and distributed door-to-door across the municipality. The magazine will focus on policy information, local projects, public services and community stories. According to the municipal authorities, KH Nieuws is intended to provide more room for background information and in-depth coverage alongside the existing digital communication channels.
Both initiatives complement each other. KH Nieuws keeps residents informed throughout the year, while TAM-TAM targets local businesses looking for visibility at key commercial moments. Together, they ensure Knokke-Heist remains well-served by local media.
