CIM releases BPS 2026: 91.3% of Belgians reached via press brands

CIM has published the results of the Belgian Publishing Survey (BPS 2026), providing updated audience figures for Belgian newspapers and magazines across print and digital platforms.

The study shows that 91.3% of Belgians engage with at least one press brand each month. Newspaper brands reach 53.4% of the population daily, while 75.6% engage with a magazine brand each month. In addition, 82.9% read at least one print or digital edition per month.

Fieldwork was conducted between September 2025 and May 2026, with 4,270 interviews among Belgians aged 16 and over. Combined with the previous survey wave, the dataset comprises 8,586 interviews.

BPS 2026 uses two audience metrics: Paper + Digital Editions, measuring average readership per issue, and Brand, measuring total cross-platform brand reach, including websites and apps.

The latest CIM BPS 2026 audience figures and corresponding media profiles have now been incorporated into the Retrievermedia.be database.
