DSP (demand-side platform)

dsp

A Demand-side Platform (DSP) is a software platform that enables advertisers and media agencies to automatically purchase digital advertising inventory through one or more ad exchanges and other programmatic marketplaces.

How it works
Within a DSP, users can configure bidding strategies, audience targeting, budgets, frequency caps and other campaign settings to optimize media buying. Based on these settings, the DSP automatically places bids on available ad impressions.

Examples of DSPs include Google Display & Video 360 (DV360), The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP and Adobe Advertising DSP.
